Four Acres Nobody Else Wanted

Every broker in the area had already passed on the four acres we bought in 2016 -- rock-strewn, degraded, at the edge of a forest with no road worth mentioning. We had no business plan beyond a conviction that the soil could come back if someone was patient enough to rebuild it properly, one season at a time.
Eighteen months of compost, cover crops, and water harvesting went in before a single tree did. There were no brochures because there was nothing to sell -- just a small team testing whether the theory held on land with nothing to lose but time. It did. Ten years later, that same four acres is still where every new method gets tested before it reaches an owner's plot.
The name Two Frogs, for what it's worth, comes from a small seasonal pond at the edge of that original plot, where most evenings exactly two frogs could be heard and never a third. It was a private joke long before it was a company name. It still fits.
