We started Two Frogs on a simple conviction: that a piece of land, tended with patience, gives back more than it ever costs. Everything else -- the plots, the projects, the people -- grew out of that one belief.
Because it's the one thing that keeps its promise.
Markets move. Trends fade. Land, tended properly, just keeps growing -- soil gets richer, trees get taller, water tables recover. We chose land as the thing to build a company around because it rewards exactly the kind of patience most businesses are built to avoid.
Four acres nobody else wanted.
In 2016, we bought four acres of degraded, rock-strewn land on the edge of a forest -- the kind of plot every broker in the area had already passed on. There was no business plan beyond a bet: that the soil could recover if someone was patient enough to rebuild it properly, one season at a time.
There were no brochures, no plots for sale, and no buyers to answer to. Just a small team, a few borrowed tools, and eighteen months of compost, cover crops, and water harvesting before a single tree went into the ground.
That patience is the only reason Two Frogs exists as a company today. Every method we now use on a paying owner's plot was proven first on land we owned ourselves, with nothing to lose but time.
Two people, one stubborn idea.
Two Frogs started as a conversation between two friends who couldn't agree on much except that land was worth doing properly, or not at all.

Two founders. One pond. A name that stuck.
The name comes from the four acres itself -- a small seasonal pond at the edge of the original plot where, most evenings, exactly two frogs could be heard and never a third. It became a private joke long before it became a company name: two stubborn things, sharing one small piece of water, in no hurry to go anywhere else.
It stuck because it says what we actually are, better than anything more polished would. Not a land conglomerate. Two people, then a small team, staying put on land long enough to watch it change.
A decade of land, one season at a time.
Nothing here moved faster than the land allowed. Every new project only started once the last one had roots strong enough to stand on its own.
Four acres, no plan to sell anything
